Regarding the completion of the Project LIFE 13 NAT/ RO / 001154 / LIFE FOR BEAR „Conservation of the Brown Bear (Ursus arctos) population in Romania”
The project, co-financed by the European Commission through the LIFE + Nature program, took place between 01.10.2014 – 31.12.2021, Coordinated by the National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry Marin Drăcea – Braşov, in partnership with Associates Beneficiary: Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, Local Forests Public Administration Kronstadt R.A., The Forest District of Râșnov R.A., R.N.P. ROMSILVA – Bucegi Natural Park Administration R.A. and Carpathian Foundation.
The final conference will take place online, on the ZOOM platform, on 21.01.2022, starting at 10:00. The conference access link will be available on the project website and Facebook page:

On this occasion, the results of the project and future actions to ensure sustainability will be presented.
The project addressed a complex management of bear-human conflicts, by testing new methods, improving those previously applied, and optimizing the solutions needed to reduce conflicts.
